I’ve been playing around with WSL lately and thought I’d update Hugo to test the kind of workflow I could expect switching between the Ubuntu subsystem and my Windows IDE/editors.
I have to say, so far, so good. I have been reading how terrible the new Macbook Pros are and I’m about at that point since the last time I bought a Mac laptop (Macbook Air circa 2015) for me to start looking at upgrading my gear. I have Ubuntu installed on a upgraded Macbook Pro from 2013, but it weighs a ton in comparison to the Air.
I’ve installed Ruby/Rails, Elixir/Phoenix and the workflow between Windows and WSL is pretty good. My daily work is in Spring and Java though, so most development will be done in Windows anyway.
